There're a lot of things in life that don't come with any formula. and this is one of those things. It all depends on individuals i.e. members of a family. You ask 100 people this same question and you'll get multiple versions. And then there is this trend going on i.e living with inlaws is horrible and theres a lot of interference etc.

My answer to your question is, it all depends on the individuals. If both parties try, they can have a happy & loving relationship whether they live together or not.

As for my personal choice, I don't think living together is a problem. I see a lot of benefits. For me family is very important and when you marry someone, his/her family is your family so be a part of it. When we live with our parents & siblings, we don't always get along, do we? but together we enjoy, share good & bad times. So same is the case when you live with your spouse's family.

Exactly what I think !!!
moreover it will fun to be around people rather than being alone for the 8 hours your hubby is not home !!!

& then it would be lovely having your little devar's & nanad's call you bhabhi help me with this..n that..etc etc...

what I do not understand is that...people want their son's to live with them(along with the bahu's ofcourse) but then jub unki apni beti ke baari aati hai they want her to live in a different house with her husband !!

I mean come on he is also someone's son right !!!

I know what you mean. Its all double standard.
and I agree with you. I prefer to enjoy with people rather than being bored alone.
