We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive.

A source inside the hospital told us there was "absolute chaos" after Jackson arrrived. People who were with the singer were screaming, "You've got to save him! You've got to save him!"

Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said. Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.

His coma & then death news didn't only have a huge impact on internet but also on SMS. The news generated staggering number of text messages in a couple of hrs.

I started listening to english songs because of him. I remember the first english cassette that I owned was Bad, followed by his other cassettes.
Its just so weird, some people ruined a talented person for money.
And now this whole thing is going to turn ugly - money, kids etc.

Even though he never announced it but it seems to be true. Besides, he was very close to his brother who embraced Islam years ago. and he openly practices it.
How do you know, its gonna be held the Islamic way?

So there is the public memorial at Staples Center on Tuesday. I've registered for raffle - lets see if I get the tickets. Soon they made the annoucement, I started trying but no luck. Got it through just a few min ago.
