pakistan expanding its nuclear capability , for whom ? u.s. is intervening more in pakistan because of the fear that the weapons of mass destruction will fall in the hands of terrorists .

In the article,

“Pakistan is really the only country rapidly building up its nuclear forces,”

pakistan is a nuclear state but in the hands of current and past corrupt politicians , the nuclear program is going to be sold to u.s. for an economic aid package . the u.s. is of course planning to give a 5 year economic package to pakistan but the underlying idea is to control its nuclear assets .

Quote:
In a move that could spell the first formal US intervention in Pakistan's nuclear program, Republican Senator Richard Lugar on Thursday urged the Obama administration to "vigorously seek to expand our cooperation with Pakistan" under the Nunn-Lugar program, as US lawmakers and opinion leaders remained unconvinced by assurances by the country President Asif Ali Zardari that the nuclear arsenal will not fall into the hands of extremists.

In fact, Lugar went a step further, and invoking the recent Swine flu epidemic, recommended that cooperation with Pakistan under the program also include its biological weapons.

obama administration can make sure that the nuclear weapons of pakistan are kept safe and out of the hands of terrorists and they will achieve it through intervening .
