Ma'arika abb kay hua bhee tau phir aisaa hoga
Teray dariya pay meri piyaas ka pehraa hoga

Uss ki aaNkhaiN teray chehray pay bahut bolti haiN
Uss nay palkoN saY tera jism taraasha hoga

Kitnay jugnu issi khuwaahish pay meray saath chalaY
Koi rasta teray ghar ko bhee tau jaata hoga

MaiN bhee apnay ko bhulaaye huay phirta hun bahut
Aa'inah uss nay bhi kuch roz na daikhaa hoga

Raat jal thal meri aankhoN maiN utar aaya thaa
Soorat-e-ab'r koi TooT kay barsaa hoga
