Read the full report on CricInfo by Osman Samiuddin. Full statement of Ijaz Butt, just released on CricInfo a while ago. Full text (My question: Why are we calling out on this decision two weeks after? Shouldn't something immediately follow after the news was released?) As you, the fan, come across the news and discussions, do you think World Cup 2011 taken out of Pakistan is a right decision? | | | May 9th, 2009, 09:48 pm | #2 (permalink) | | Winner of Fuse Quiz Channel May, 2009 Join Date: Feb 14th, 2009 - 03:37 am Posts: 3,078 | Sad but yes... | | oyiii .....Adding YOGURT in my CAKE..... World Cup is an enormous world event... This is where nation would have the chance to see whom they brought on the pedastal of authority... This also gives opportunity to the govt. to prove that they are capable of handling the country.... Nation needs to know all that.... | | ShaheeN Kaa JahaaN aur! :-) PakFuse was NOT created in a single day. | May 10th, 2009, 11:18 pm | #6 (permalink) | | Winner of Fuse Quiz Channel May, 2009 Join Date: Feb 14th, 2009 - 03:37 am Posts: 3,078 | Quote: Originally Posted by AQ This also gives opportunity to the govt. to prove that they are capable of handling the country.... I understand what you mean but its just too risky - not only for others lives but also if something happens - it'll be over for us for atleast half a century. | | | May 10th, 2009, 11:35 pm | #7 (permalink) | | Aaeen-e-Nau say darnaa, tarz-e-Koh'n paY aRnaa Manzil yehi KaThi'n hai, qoumoN kee zindagi maiN Join Date: Jan 1st, 1970 - 12:00 am Posts: 1,572 | The problem with it, is that such statements give evidence to those who point fingers at Pakistan bad mouthing everything about it... do we agree with them? | | | May 11th, 2009, 06:53 am | #8 (permalink) | | Winner of Fuse Quiz Channel May, 2009 Join Date: Feb 14th, 2009 - 03:37 am Posts: 3,078 | ^ No. We don't agree with them. But we can't ignore the fact. lets face it - our govt is not capable of doing anything right. Whatever is happening in PK.... is a proof. | | | Jun 7th, 2009, 09:33 pm | #9 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 7th, 1977 - 06:00 am Posts: 1,792 | A final decision regarding Pakistan's rights to host the 2011 World Cup will be taken on June 19 ( CricInfo). | | | Jun 8th, 2009, 12:38 pm | #10 (permalink) | | Senior Member Join Date: Mar 11th, 2009 - 03:28 pm Posts: 3,444 | Don't tell me it still isn't confirmed that no matches of World Cup 2011 will be played in Pakistan | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT.
