How come there isn't any test match. if play ODI in Dubai then why not test?

The tests will follow later in the year. This tour consists of ODI's and Twenty/20, the next one will be for the (2?) test series.

Pakistan just toyed with Australia.



Waqar Younis was once comparing the two captains, Younis Khan and Michael Clarke. Went something like this: "Well, BUT-TAAA they are both new captains, both very smiley BUT-TAAA they don't take their cricket seriously..."

Sometimes Waqar is not funny at all.

It was our bowling attack. We were unable to penetrate and force any kind of pressure on them. Even in the first ODI, 8 wickets were shared between spinners. After having Shoaib Akhtar back in the team, it does not seem "threatening" as it should. Shoaib's pace has drastically reduced, his fastest today was around 146. He averaged in the last 130's for the most part. We need quality pace attack because Saeed Ajmal is doing quite a good job in the spin department. Pace attack needs better options, maybe a left-hander or two.

Saeed Ajmal reported for suspect action (CricInfo).

What do you make of his action?

I have seen his action but his doosra is not as "apparent", at least from what I have seen. It may be over 15 degree bent, we will find out once he gets tested. On TV though, the bent is there, but it is not as visible as Johan Botha, who is also reported this week for suspect action.

Is there anything for spinners these days?

Finger-spinners like Daniel Vettori can survive, but what about genuine off-spinners? Saqlain, Muralitharan, Harbhajan, and now Ajmal. Spinners have become a rare commodity with all these bannings taking place. Why can't coaches correct their actions before they are handed their debut cap? They play cricket for 4-5 years before they are called up. If they play 200 days in a year, no one can see and report it before it gets international coverage?
