May, 2009 Join Date: Feb 14th, 2009 - 02:37 am Posts: 3,078 | I've noticed that sometimes cherry tastes like Jamin (remember that purple olive-shaped fruit in Pakistan - mostly in Lahore). There is no resemblance in taste . In Pakistan we had more than one Jamun tree in our home and in USA I have planted a couple of cherry trees . Some other folks (read Lahori) have noticed it too.
